CELEBRATING GIGS’ ALBUM RELEASE
“IN CELEBRATION OF GIGGS' ALBUM RELEASE, 'BIG BAD,' WE COLLABORATED WITH ISLAND RECORDS TO TRANSFORM A TWO-STORY BUILDING INTO AN ENGAGING AR-INTEGRATED MURAL. INSPIRED BY GIGGS' MUSIC VIDEO, WHICH FEATURED A GIANT GIGGS STOMPING THROUGH THE STREETS OF LONDON, WE WERE ABLE TO USE GREEN-SCREEN FOOTAGE TO CREATE AN AR VERSION OF THE RAPPER”
In celebration of Giggs' album release, 'Big Bad,' we collaborated with Island Records to transform a two-story building into an engaging AR-integrated mural. Inspired by Giggs' music video, which featured a giant Giggs stomping through the streets of London, we were able to use green-screen footage to create an AR version of the rapper. To the naked eye, our mural simply depicted a nighttime London skyline, but when viewed through a mobile device, a dynamic augmented reality experience was unveiled. By scanning the QR code on the wall, the mural was brought to life, as Chinooks, tanks, and smoke swarmed around a colossal AR Giggs, stomping through the city scene. Each stroke of paint mattered as the mural itself triggered the AR magic… Luckily we are extremely precise! Island Records credited this as the biggest driver of sales in their album launch campaign.
With the rapid growth of AR possibilities, we continue to push creative boundaries, using this flexible technology to elevate projects and bring a new dynamic to hand-painted artworks and campaigns.
